More than 20 years ago now I began the early steps of writing and public engagement for what eventually became Sistah Vegan. At 15 years old, the book is nearly old enough to drive, and the movement... well, it's ready to grow where community has been calling for some time.

I'm deeply grateful for the many people who helped make the book such an inspiring catalyst for many in the years since, including the original contributors, teachers who've chosen it for courses, and those who've gifted it to family, friends, and themselves . I'm moved by the stories of lives changed and new possibilities dreamed through not just reading but also communing through learning, unlearning, and coming together to cultivate new futures.

In these last few years, I've received some of the most consistent and unfettered support I've experienced in my adult life. Such has been the extent and richness of this help that not only I but also the Sistah Vegan Project now has strategic, operational, technical, and cooperative capacity of a scope that I've only recently come to experience firsthand. With that comes a change: the Sistah Vegan movement's online expression will center less on me and more on the many others around the world discussing identity, healing, and maybe wiser kinds of community seeding into the future.

Will I stay involved? Yes! I loved starting this journey, and this movement has helped me to grow into the Dr. Breeze Harper who is now working on cooperative initiatives that very much continue the book's explorations into applied action.

So, increasingly online and in person, Sistah Vegan is becoming more and more distinct from Dr. Breeze Harper. In keeping with that, I have two requests of you, dear reader:

#1: If Sistah Vegan has inspired you or piqued your curiosity, follow these Sistah Vegan accounts and engage.

#2: If you've appreciated my talks, creative work, coaching, or purported "sense of humor," please subscribe here and connect on these Dr. Breeze Harper socials:

As we approach the book's 15-year anniversary celebrations, the Sistah Vegan Project is going to share exciting news! It will also call on supporters to get involved digitally and in-person in these next chapters. Tap in! We're counting on each other.

With appreciation,

Dr. Breeze Harper
